Iron & Molybdenum Re-Natured®

Iron & Molybdenum Re-Natured®

The main role of iron in the body is in the red blood cells, here it combines with a protein and copper to form a substance called haemoglobin. Almost two thirds of the iron in the body is found in hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to tissues. Around 25% of Iron is stored within the liver, spleen, bone-marrow and muscles, storage iron and approximately 4% is used within myoglobin and iron-containing enzymes.

Haemoglobin is the oxygen carrier protein in red blood cells. It is also the protein, which gives red blood cells their red colour. Iron is the essential element needed by the body to produce sufficient amounts of haemoglobin. If iron stores are low, normal haemoglobin production slows down, which means that the lungs receive less oxygen, resulting in symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness or lowered immunity.

Since our body can’t produce iron itself we need to make sure we consume sufficient amounts of iron in the food that we eat or add a supplement to our diet. Grown By Nature's Re-Natured® Iron and Molybdenum work synergistically together and help enhance the body’s utilisation of each mineral

The Benefits of Iron + Molybdenum

Iron plays or supports many functions in the body including the following:

  • Haemoglobin has the role of transporting oxygen in the blood from the lungs to the tissues.
  • Iron supports the action of many enzymes particularly those involved with the production of energy.
  • As an antioxidant it may help to prevent free radicals.
  • It is considered to be a powerful immune-system booster
  • It is necessary for the metabolism of B vitamins.

Furthermore, Molybdenum is also necessary for good health

  • It is found in all tissues of the human body, but tends to be most concentrated in the liver, kidneys, skin and bones.
  • It makes and activates enzymes
  • It is required for the proper functioning of several chemicals in the human body, some of these have the very important job of allowing the body to process the iron and nitrogen in our diets
  • It is may also play a role in helping our cells grow.
  • It is an antioxidant trace mineral which plays an essential part in the mobilisation of iron from the liver reserves and is necessary for the oxidation of fats and for copper metabolism.
